World Youth Day (WYD) brings together young people from all over the world with the Pope. It is also a pilgrimage, a celebration of youth, an expression of the universal Church and an intense moment of evangelization for the youth world.
This year, Bishop Walsh and 12 other pilgrims from the Diocese of Gaylord traveled to Lisbon, Portugal to participate in World Youth Day. Throughout their pilgrimage, our group shared photos and videos of their experience— from departure to arrival back home.
The next World Youth Day will be in Seoul, South Korea in 2027.
