Take Courage! I have overcome the world. – John 16:33
World Youth Day is an unforgettable experience that brings together over a million young Catholics from all over the world. It is a celebration of youth, an expression of the universal church, and a pilgrimage that you can share with Pope Leo XIV, the first American Pope.
In 2027, World Youth Day will be held in Seoul, South Korea. Pilgrims will get to experience worship, inspiring talks from clergy and other prominent speakers, adoration, confession, and Mass with Pope Leo. It is an opportunity to deepen your faith and relationship with Christ and participate in the sacraments alongside young people from all sides of the world.
The Diocese of Gaylord and the Diocese of Saginaw have decided to partner in their efforts to send a group of young adults to World Youth Day.
I have been to 6 World Youth Days (Denver, Paris, Rome, Toronto, Krakow, Lisbon). Each one was unique, spiritually fruitful and provided a vision of Church that was enriching. The experience of the young Church coincides with the energy, vibrancy and zeal of youth itself. My best advice for those considering our pilgrimage to Seoul, South Korea for the 2027 World Youth Day is an echo of what Jesus said to the disciples who asked him where he stays… “Come and see”.
