Diocese of Gaylord Catholic Schools Selected for Tuition Grant Program

Gaylord, Michigan — The George and Mary Kremer Foundation recently announced their selection of seven Catholic schools in the Diocese of Gaylord to participate in their 2021-2022 Tuition Grant Program. Each qualifying school will receive $10,000 at the beginning of the academic year to help pay the tuition of children from financially challenged families in their schools.

Diocesan schools that were selected include Immaculate Conception Elementary School (Traverse City); Manistee Catholic Central (Manistee); Our Lady of the Lake School (Prudenville); St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Middle School (Traverse City); St. Francis Xavier School (Petoskey); St. Ignatius of Loyola School (Rogers City); and St. Mary School (Lake Leelanau).

Bishop Walter A. Hurley, Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Gaylord, states, “It was with joy and gratitude that I learned of the selection of seven of our Catholic schools in the Tuition Grant Program [offered through the George and Mary Kremer Foundation].

“These tuition funds make a significant difference for some of our families who would likely not be able to send their children to Catholic school without the assistance. It is a constant challenge for our schools to provide all the financial assistance that is needed, and even more so during these challenging times. I am extremely grateful to the George and Mary Kremer Foundation for this critical aid to our students and families.”

The George and Mary Kremer Foundation has served the Catholic community since 1985 by providing Catholic elementary schools in the continental United States with tuition assistance grants for children from financially challenged families.
